AUSTRALIA DAY WEEKEND EVENT 2015
AUSTRALIA DAY WEEKEND EVENT 2015Â
We hatched this plan over a few drinks months ago with Des & Sylvia, our hosts who have kindly offered up their beautiful property on the Clarence River, Lawrence in NSW for this long weekend Spyder event. As the venue is a private residence attendance needs to have some oversight as opposed to an open invitation to the public. Sat, Sun, & Mon nights are available to stay, day trippers are also welcome.
SpyderMates forum members will have access to specific details. Any Spyder enthusiasts who wish to attend are welcome, but is requested that they join the forum firstly. The property can accommodate a number of campers, as in tents, tiny popups, etc. The surrounding areas have hotel/motels if you’re not a camper. I would suggest you investigate hotel accommodation around Lawrence early as it is a long weekend.
As most will be travelling on bikes, drinks are available on arrival at the local shops. Food will be catered, we just ask you to throw in a few bucks. Alternatively you can purchase food locally. We anticipate lots of BBQ’s, spit/s, possibly takeaways, etc. If you have dietary restrictions, celery sticks and hummus are available at the local supermarket
It is very likely we can accommodate more people than will attend. The SpyderMates members are a friendly crew, so if you are new to the group, please feel comfortable if you decide to attend, you will be very welcome. Des & Sylvia are a great couple and so much fun to be around. Some of highlights:
– Organised rides – Des has all the local knowledge
– Free Camping
– Fishing – You’ll luv the jetty
– Swimming – bring your smugglers
– Private Jetty
– Meat on a spit
– Private Property
– Showers Toilets
– Relaxing on the river
– A great ferry crossing to get there
An attendance list will be required for planning purposes. Please RSVP to ensure your place on the list. It is shaping up to be a fun weekend. I look forward to catching up with everybody on the Australia Day weekend.
Obviously, I can’t address all questions here. If you have any enquiries please email me: email@example.com
